»Welcome to the UC Davis chapter of Net Impact

net impact

Net Impact is an organization dedicated to creating a network of business leaders who use the power of business to create a positive net social, environmental, and economic impact. Founded in 1999, the chapter at the UC Davis Graduate School of Management is one of the most active in the country.

Among other activities, the club has yearly courses in social entrepreneurship and sustainable business focusing on the "triple bottom line." As well, our chapter regularly hosts speakers, participates in campus greening initiatives, and attends the yearly National Net Impact Conference.

As part of the school's Center for Investor Welfare and Corporate Responsibility, members of the club participate in managing the school's socially responsible index fund (done for course credit).

At Davis Net Impact, we constantly search for new and innovative approaches to corporate responsibility and ways to demonstrate its impact. Liz Maw, Net Impact's Executive Director, has noted that we lead the way in campus and community impact and that "In addition to their many accomplishments, the Davis team has spread the Net Impact message to the 110 person student body creating a chapter that while small in number, is mighty in impact.”
