Field Events

In addition to visiting organizations for the purpose of exploring potential careers, our chapter also hosts relevant site visits and community service activities with strictly educational, service, and/or entertainment value. Recent field events have included a tour of Pride Industries , a social enterprise devoted to giving employment opportunities to people with disabilities, and a trip to the HP Recycling Center to learn about their efforts to combat e-waste and view their giant shredder in action!

For the 2007-2008 Academic Year, our first field event will be an Energy Efficiency Center & Big Bang/Little Bang co-sponsored tour and wine & cheese reception at the California Lighting & Technology Center.
