Curriculum Development

Our Director of Curriculum Development works closely with the faculty in general, our faculty sponsor specifically, and the Associated Students of Management's Director of Academic Affairs to embed social and environmental values into the curriculum. Initiatives take many forms and currently include integrating relevant topics and case studies into traditional courses, building new courses, and strengthening our impact on specialty programs such as the International Study Practicum and Consulting Center Projects. There is even a joint venture with the International Business Club curently under development: The Cooperative Trade & Consulting Program. Complete courses that Net Impact-ers have helped create include "Social Entrepreneurship" and "Managing a Socially Responsible Investment Fund".

In January 2007, Net Impact Co-Presidents Jessica Carter and Daniel MacDonald worked closely with GSM faculty and the administration to create a fundamental "Seminar on Sustainable and Responsible Business" . Due to overwhelming support by the student body, it was added to the 2007 Spring Quarter lineup, spot-lighted as a "Net Impact Best Practice" and referenced in a recent Net Impact Quarterly!
