Non Profit Fellowship Fund

Nonprofit Fellowship Fund:

Today many MBA programs are seeing a growing number of applicants who have a background in the nonprofit sector.  Recognizing the sector’s need for strategic planning, marketing and finance skills, these young professionals are turning to an MBA in the hopes of applying what they learn to the causes they are passionate about. In response to this trend, in 2008 Davis Net Impact launched the Nonprofit Fellowship Fund, which subsidizes the salaries of students who intern with organizations in the nonprofit sector during the summer.  The Fund enables students to explore career opportunities that might otherwise be unavailable to them due to the limited resources nonprofits have to recruit MBA interns.

How you can get involved:

(1) Apply to be a recipient of the fund. Are you a first year daytime MBA candidate planning to, or considering working or a nonprofit (501(c)3 designated) organization this summer? This fund is here to help make that possible! See the attached application for details. Application for the funds would be available to all ASM members. Funds will be divided between all eligible applicants, and eligibility will be determined by a committee of GSM students and administration. Note that the application deadline is Friday May 29th.

(2) Support the fund. While the suggested donation is the equivalent of 1 day's internship salary, your classmates will appreciate any donation, large or small.  Pledge now, and don't pay until Fall!

Pledges are requested by Friday May 29th, although we will gladly accept any additional pledges made throughout the summer.
