Member Roster

Jane has a background in community outreach and education for large transportation infrastructure and development projects within the Bay Area.  She is interested in smart urban planning and development, energy efficiency initiatives and green building design.  As co-President, Jane is excited to work with the other Bay Area Net Impact chapters to improve the regional network of socially and environmentally responsible minded people.  On the weekends, she can be found skiing in Lake Tahoe, running the trails of Davis and exploring Northern California's outdoor offerings.

With previous professional experience including teaching, leading outdoor adventure trips, environmental education management, and serving on the board of an environmental education non-profit, Hilary's credits her childhood climbing trees and playing in the mud for her life-long passion for the environment. The reputation of the Davis Net Impact chapter and the GSM's strength in environmental business and energy efficiency were the main reasons Hilary chose UC Davis for her MBA. She is particularly excited to serve as co-president during 2009, the year that the GSM is moving to its new state-of-the-art green facility, Gallagher Hall! 

Srinivas is a first year MBA student, committed and passionate about learning and contributing to the clean and green Earth.  Srinivas holds a Masters degree in Computer Engineering and has worked in telecom and financial industries.  As Director of Finance of Net Impact chapter, Srinivas will contribute to the overall financial growth and management of the UC Davis chapter.

Before pursuing her MBA, Julia worked for a trade organization in the wine industry where she learned about the importance and impact of sustainable farming and coordinated events that raised millions of dollars for local non-profits. Through these experiences, she developed a continued dedication to environmental and social responsibility that she will use to promote the efforts of Net Impact to the GSM community and beyond as co-director of marketing. 

Jacqueline previously worked in health care research for the government before coming to business school.  She is pursuing an MBA with a specialization in public health to apply effective business practices to the health care industry.  As Co-Director of Career Development, she plans to help Net Impact members explore socially responsible career positions and opportunities.

Elena has a background in the non-profit sector and came to business school to learn the business fundamentals needed to run any successful venture.   She believes strongly in Net Impact's mission and as Co-Director of Career Development is looking forward to creating opportunities for her colleagues to explore and find sustainable career paths where they can use their strong business skills to positively impact society.

Jim managed humanitarian relief and social development programs in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Haiti, Lebanon and Somalia before coming to UC Davis to pursue an MBA.  He would like to apply his skills in the evolving space between the nonprofit, for profit and public spheres where partnerships can leverage philanthropic values and business disciplines for the common good.  As Director of Curriculum Development he works with the administration and faculty to promote social and environmental concerns in the curriculum of the Graduate School of Management.

Benjamin previously worked for 5 years in the commercial real estate industry before enrolling in business school. He also co-founded and served on the boards of several San Francisco-based nonprofits and is passionate about developing leaderships skills among young working professionals and identifying new ways for people to give back to and invest in their communities. His position as Director of Community Outreach blends his interest in combining his for-profit and non-profit background to make an impact in the community.

After working in start-ups, non-profit, and corporate, Anita returned to business school to acquire a business foundation with an emphasis in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.  She hopes to start her own business one day and strongly believes in the compatibility between business and creating meaningful change.  As Director of Events, Anita hopes to grow Davis Net Impact's identity and mission by organizing proactive, collaborative events.  Her interests include handcrafting cards/invitations, gardening, and interior decorating.
