Christine previously worked for a PR firm representing socially and environmentally responsible companies across a range of industries. She is pursuing an MBA to further integrate environmental and social responsibility with effective business practices. As Co-President, Christine looks forward to promoting the UC Davis Chapter and its great work for the GSM, University community, and beyond.

Greg’s experience with microfinance in Mexico and employment services in Los Angeles convinced him of the power of business to change lives for the better. As Co-President, he believes that Net Impact is the ideal vehicle to advance social responsibility both inside and outside the classroom. Greg plans to concentrate in Finance while investigating how for-profit and nonprofit organizations can positively impact society.

Liz has a deep-rooted passion for the environment, having studied Landscape Architecture as an undergraduate and most recently worked in the field of Public Horticulture (i.e. public gardens). Liz's interests include backpacking, plants, reading books, and gardening. One day she hopes to own a development company focused on creating sustainable, responsibly-designed communities. As Co-Director of Events, Liz is looking forward to collaborating with her partner Jon to create an exciting line-up of activities that will allow our chapter to have an even greater (net) impact.

Jon comes from a background in Mechanical Engineering, where he worked on everything from pacemakers to the 787 to acoustics. He is pursuing his MBA in Strategic Management and hopes to focus on sustainable design as well as social entrepreneurship. He hopes to combine his interests in technology, psychology and strategy to positively affect the world, and believes that Net Impact offers a wide range of resources and connections that can be used to invite others to do likewise.

Truc is committed to raising awareness about social responsibility and environmental sustainability. She previously worked at a healthcare nonprofit, and she continues to manage benefit projects to raise money for homeless children in Vietnam. Her background includes a BS in management science and engineering and a minor in music.

Mananya is pursuing an MBA because she understands the power of business to make a positive impact. UC Davis’ success with Net Impact was a large factor in her decision to attend the GSM. With a varied career past in hospitality at Kirkwood Mountain Resort and The Claremont Resort and Spa and then in banking at Citibank, Mananya hopes to return to the hospitality industry to promote sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Vivian first learned of Net Impact in 2003 and knew that it was an organization she wanted to be a part of when she became an MBA student. Having previously worked in a consultancy that specialized in corporate social responsibility, Vivian knows that conducting business with a focus on the triple bottom line is not only the right way to do business, it's also the smart way. As Co-director of Career Development, she is looking forward to investigating and promoting careers that contribute to a sustainable economy.

Terence is interested in renewable energy and corporate social responsibility and is focusing his academic efforts on marketing and finance. He would like to apply his skills in hospitality management and financial services to finding energy solutions. As Director of Curriculum Development he works with faculty to promote sustainability within all classes.

Tanya previously worked in higher education administration and philanthropy before coming to business school. She also served on the boards of several Bay Area nonprofits and is passionate about asset building for low-income communities, strengthening educational systems, and identifying new ways for people to give back to and invest in their communities. Her position as Director of Community Outreach blends her interest in nonprofit capacity building and commitment to volunteerism.

As Net Impact’s Campus Greening Rep Gretchen Bernheim is all about the GSM being zero-waste leaders, recycling mavericks, and energy conservation devotees. When not focused on “Greening” she can be found enjoying cooking and eating any chocolate item in sight.

Lisa’s experience in the nonprofit and public sector reflects her life long passion for addressing issues of social inequity and injustice. During her two years at the GSM, she hopes to explore ways in which traditional business models and tools (e.g., microfinance, socially responsible investing, etc.) are being used to affect change. In addition to marketing the current events and campaigns of the club, she plans to use her position as the Co-Director of Marketing and Communications to increase awareness throughout the GSM community on Net Impact related issues.

Mitchell has a B.S. in Marine Biology from San Diego State University. Before attending the GSM he worked in marine ecological research with the SDSU Fish Ecology Lab where he studied predator prey dynamics in coastal kelp forests and sea grass beds. He is interested in finance, more specifically in socially and environmentally responsible investing and is a Libra.
